“Finding the Hero Within: Exploring the Sacred Aspects of the Hero’s Journey,” July 4, 2021
For June, the Touchstones and UUCC Congregational Theme is Journey. Kai Marks, a UUCC favorite, returns to talk with us on “Finding the Hero Within: Exploring the Sacred Aspects of the Hero’s Journey.” Kai is a lay member of the UU Fellowship of Redwood City.
Join us as we explore how to be the protagonist in our own lives. Joseph Campbell said that heroes are people who dedicate their lives to something greater than themselves. What makes a hero in our world today, and how do we find something greater—either to connect with or to dedicate our lives to? How do we find meaning and purpose and make the world a better place for ourselves and each other?
And when music inspires, we thank our music director Tom Devine.
